Hi,
I'm on 38acres of homestead, about 1hr from the nearest town, along a dirt road that can be difficult to drive on without 4WD (after rains/winter). I have a lot of animals, especially fowl: chickens, ducks, geese, quails. But also a bunch of sheep and a donkey, and rabbits. I am still paying off the mortgage, working a full-time job from home, and taking care of all the animals. Due to life circumstances I am in need of help, and can offer a free place to stay with water from a natural spring. Have a location to park a trailer which is set up for sewage connection and Wifi, water connection can be done via hose from a hydrant. There's power as well, a solar system is installed but it is small, just in case of outages. A power connection is set up with a provider. No rural water connection. I would prefer a couple or single person, needs to be someone handy with tools and able to fix things and build simple stuff like rabbit tractors, fencing, etc. I have most tools available or willing to buy. Eggs are available year round here, always fresh, and I always have too many and give them to neighbors or feed back to the animals. I will need some help with the sheep and donkey, and possibly the other animals. Only looking for long-term, no vegans as I am harvesting the animals for food. Garden was fenced but I really need assistance getting it going, the soil is not very good here but building up and getting better with all the animal manure. I got a few trees planted, had a lot of loss due to the animals and water damage from flooding. The property is on the side of a mountain with fantastic views, but that entails a lot of walking up and down. There's black walnut trees here, and other nut trees like hickory, acorns etc. I did a permaculture course but it was a while ago and currently it's my second year here, so still in the setup phases. Ideally looking for someone who is calm, happy, and willing to help out when needed, literally anything that life throws at us. I would love to build a food forest, and get the garden producing to feed the animals (all are free-ranging except the quails which are in cages, I have rabbit cages too but during the warm season they're all in tractors on the grass). I love the animals and would like for someone else to share this. 2 amazing dogs are on the property, and 1 cat but I'm looking to get another as there's a lot of field mice around and they're getting into all the stored feed etc. I buy mostly organic feeds only, but it's getting expensive. I'd love for someone to be involved and bring ideas and help with executing them. Feel free to contact me for more info, I'm a bit slow to respond due to too many duties around here. Would love to get to know like-minded people that have the same vision for the future and looking for this kind of lifestyle. I'm pretty easygoing but quite shy at first. Have fabulous neighbors that are willing to help. Thank you!

Hi Dee,
I'm not looking to move, but am also in Arkansas.. in Newton County. What part of the state are you located? I'm also looking for someone to live on my land and share with homesteading. ~ Shawn

Hello Dee,
Tried the purple message method and it went all sideways.  I am most interested in something such as you have put forth.  Long and full experience in construction and grew up on a farm so that is in the mix as well.   I have tried a couple of situations over recent years but found that both were more interested in spending gobs of money at Tractor Supply on things that were of little value to what they espoused.  Everyone has their own approach...

It seems that I am living in one of the noisiest places in the nation currently, and miss peace and quiet.  I would like to discuss this with you further if you are interested.  Since the purple things does not work, I may be reached at danbradley@disroot.org.  Hope to hear from you..
