Anyone out there?

Hello, I'm Kristen!  I'm 36 and am currently living in Northern California.  I was raised homesteading and always knew I would return to that lifestyle eventually; well, I can feel that time is coming.  Other than being super goofy, I am pretty useful.  I have experience all over the United States in many different climates from Alaska to Arizona- fishing, foraging, sewing, livestock, woodworking, and gardening.  I am extremely resourceful and hardworking; I can repurpose just about anything.  My background is in agriculture, and I was a firefighter/medic for a number of years.   I currently do remote work so relocating isn't a problem.   I also am the only parent to a really awesome 6-year-old.  

It is incredibly difficult to find a partner who ACTUALLY wants the same things?    I recently just stumbled upon permies and thought this might be a good place to start Hope to hear from you!

Agreed. It’s quite challenging. Just finding the gender and age you are seeking seems challenging, much more so if you’re after a particular location, or interest set. (Where is my 40-45ish horseman from Missouri!?) And then having kids (also a single mom of littles) makes it seem like a needle in 50 haystacks.

Seeing people who have been on here looking for years can be a little disheartening. But don’t give up! When the time is right, it will all come together! 🙌
