I have been enjoying living in the upper valley area of VT/NH. I would happy to settle down here, but I'm open to living in another region if it's feasible.. There's a lot to say here. I'm gonna do this bullet point style.

My personality: emotionally mature, accepting, loyal, good communicator, playful, creative, curious, ADHD, radical, sexy tomboy.

My skills: carpentry, repairs, solar/electrical, gardening, leadership, artist, retired musician. Loves to cook! Worked in "food service" for too many years. Been working in various trades for almost a decade now.

I have SO many interests, passions and hobbies. I spend most of my free time gardening and building/fixing/restoring just about anything and studying/researching building design, preparing to someday build my own home. I also enjoy cooking and baking, sewing, painting, rock hounding, foraging, reading, biking, skateboarding, photography, for starters... I try to spend as little time on computers as possible. I don't own a TV.

My challenges: Financially stable but still working on buying home. I've changed jobs almost annually due to toxic environments, but new job is good so far.
Always managing stress and depression that comes with burning out from toxic jobs and being neurodivergent but I am responsible in managing the ups and downs.
I have a few close friends but we're all so busy. Too much time alone is not healthy for me. I feel most balanced when I'm in a relationship, but I'm not codependent. I have been single more years than I have been in relationships. I'd say my past relationships were fairly healthy. No drama.

My dream: I have many business plans ready to execute depending whatever stars align, when and where. I'm super flexible when it comes to making the most out of whatever circumstances I am working with, compromising to create a happy balance. I would be happy to settle down on half an acre or more, enough space for a garden, and ideally a garage or barn workshop for my tools and creative outlet. I love reptiles. I would love build a greenhouse and a pond for turtles and fish 🥰  Happiness for me is having a supportive partner to come home to and enjoy the fruits of our labor. I will be more than happy to make breakfast, lunch and dinner often 🤗

Ideal partner would be a playful, hard working blue collar fella who's hands are as calloused and dirty as mine, but that's not a requirement 😏 Bonus if you also love to cook!!! Social or introverted is fine, as long as you're emotionally mature and can be social once in a while. NO ALCOHOLICS. It's ok if drugs and alcohol are in the past. I'm no stranger to being close with people in recovery. I drink very little. Never done any drugs. I don't mind occasional THC but not comfortable with heavy daily use. No Jesus freaks. I am spiritual and I support spirituality. I enjoy praying with my mom and I would even like to go to church once in a while but super religious types is not what I'm looking for. LGBTQ Ally! Diversity is where it's at. Haters need not apply.

Well that's enough for now. I hope this message finds its way to my forever best friend. I've lived alone long enough. I would love to SHARE everything I have to offer with a good person who wants to enjoy life with a committed partner. Please include pictures! I did!

Xoxo

Hi Leesa,

Looks like your post has been bumped.  What a funny way the universe works!

I'm from PA and also looking to buy a property and contribute to the ecosystem.  I see solar power, water catchment systems, and environmental practices as the solution to modern stress.  It fills my cup to serve others or be a steward of the earth.  I can see myself appreciating a home on land as much as I can see myself living/converting an RV and living on national parks.  It sounds like you work best with a tool shed for your projects!

You bring many skills.  I could see us upgrading RVs or something that combines your blue collar skills with my business/entrepreneurship experience.  (For a while I wanted to convert skoolies, so your carpentry + solar skills could be paired with my skoolie/RV research.)  I'm curious to hear more of your business plans!

I agree that being in nature and working with our hands is richer than screen time.  I enjoy volunteering, walking, yoga, meditation, gardening, yard work, cleaning, organizing, and planning for financial independence through self-sustainability.  Community is also important to me since we are social & emotional beings.  As an introvert, I enjoy meaningful conversations with smaller groups of people.  Loneliness is a growing problem solved by returning to our ancestral ways of finding joy in the everyday tasks.  I'm also mindful of avoiding codependence.  Relationships that are reciprocal maintain a peaceful balance of energy.  Psychology is a passion of mine and emotional intelligence is definitely key to maturity & growth.

I also find it challenging to find meaningful jobs that feel energizing for my soul.  It's hard to find joy when the jobs I've done feel like a cog in a machine.  I want something simple and to not strive for material greed.  I see myself working on land or working a remote job.  I have experience in professional roles, like childcare worker, tutor, educator, and advocate.  Serving in the human services field helped me see the inequality in our society.  Blue collar doesn't describe me, though I'm willing to learn how to grow my technical skills.  I pull weeds and do yard work for my family as a way of expressing love, so I like the process of work.  Working with my hands is fun and easy.

I also identify as spiritual and supporting those who practice spirituality in their own way.  Yoga really shaped my life.  It helped me find a new sense of peace and calm.  I agree that there'e something energizing about navigating life with someone else.  I feel a lot of energy in your message and that you can manifest something beautiful with your skills & your intentions!

Sincerely,
Alexis
