Intentional communities are starting to form the world over, why not join us here?

On the sunny Hungarian plains of the European Union we invite you to buy yourself into the adventure of being the second settler at Echo, an ecological community under formation that is unique in its uncompromising approach to sustainability, well, sustainedness.

We are about to hand-create all of our wardrobes, one garment and pair of footwear at a time, because we too believe that clothing should reflect your ethics, set of values. Our dwellings, all one of a kind, yet harmonizing with each other in materials (rammed earth, straw bale insulation, earthen plasters and floors, thatch) and aesthetics (organic shapes, earthy tones of colors and artful simplicity) are/will be nestled in woodland that we are gradually turning into a permanent (old-growth) and extensive forest gardens integrated with grazing meadows and productive wetland.

Our interests include forest gardens, creating shade, no soil disturbance gardening, omnivorous diet, cow-share, self reliance, unschooling/life-learning and so much more! Non-smokers only please.

We are seeking creative hands and minds to share life at Echo, in Ópusztaszer, Hungary. Email us for more details about visiting - we are open to residents from any country. Pictures are available in the following link: http://handcraftedtravellers.com/building-an-intentional-and-ecological-community-in-hungary/

We look forward to all serious inquiries and offers!
Cheryl and Roland

Here is a teaser to what is awaiting you if you can make your mind up fast enough, that is before September 1st, 2013:

Mind you, it is a producing landscape already! This cherry season we canned about 100 jars of sour cherries and cherries alone and the apple, peach, pear and plum season is still ahead. And while waiting for the preserves to age, you can (could) just sit down by a bowl of walnuts and hazelnuts, crunching away...

The price of this privilege is € 42,000, the equivalent of 12,000,000 HUF, payable in Hungarian Forints.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely, Cheryl and Roland Magyar
