I've read that you should let your water warm in the sun before adding the compost to avoid shocking the beneficials in there. Anyone have any experience with this one way or the other? I didn't bother waiting for the water to warm in the 50 gal batch that I just brewed and it seemed to pass the nose/eye test just fine around 30 hrs but I don't have a scope to really check things out.
