Join Our Self-Sustaining Community in Mahood Falls

We have a dream—and we need your help to bring it to life.

We’re inviting like-minded individuals to join us in building a self-sufficient, meaningful community. Located in the beautiful Cariboo region, just south of Canim Lake, our property is the perfect place to create a future rooted in collaboration, respect, and sustainability.

Who We’re Looking For:
We value individuals who share our passion for:

Helping others and fostering a supportive environment.
Food security and sustainable living practices.
Being respectful, open-minded, and motivated to make a difference.
Living a simple yet meaningful life while embracing creativity and hard work.
Loving animals and respecting the natural world around us.
A Little About Us:
We are a family of five who left city life at the height of COVID-19 to pursue a simpler, more intentional way of living. Over the past four years, we've transformed this property into a livable homestead with heat, water, and power—but the journey has only just begun.

We’ve realized that this dream is bigger than just us. It’s time to expand, share, and build something greater together. We’ve experienced the joy of hosting like-minded individuals through programs like Workaway, and we’re eager to create a deeper, more lasting community.

Why Join Us?
By joining our community, you’ll become part of a shared vision:

Building a sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come.
Living with purpose, creativity, and connection.
Sharing knowledge, skills, and passions to make this dream a reality.
Let’s Connect:
If this resonates with you and you’d like to learn more, visit our website: whoka.org ( still just a beta version) or email us at whokajourney@gmail.com.

Together, we can create something extraordinary.
