Hey there. I'm new to the forum so before I begin, forgive any newbie missteps.

I'm currently living in Guam where we have an amazing abundance of jungle fowl and wild chickens just running around. A few weeks ago I went out and pulled a youngish rooster out of his tree and slaughtered him to make coq au vin. It was amazing (and his feathers are like jewels, I have to do something cool with them.) Since then, I've had fresh eggs on the brain and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these birds as a captive breed? Most of what I'm finding on search engines is anecdotal and related to poultry lineage. I'm still brushing up on my chicken 101 since I haven't had any since 4h so many years ago, but if you happen to know any specifics I'd love to hear them. Also if you know any great tips for finding wild chicken eggs for the meantime, that would be great too. Thanks!
