Hello. I'm near Dayton, Ohio. As a father, I’ve been thinking more and more about what kind of future they’re going to grow up in. I’m getting tired of being tied to a system that feels more unstable every day, and worrying about what that means for them, long term. I’ve been saving and planning, and I’ve got some cash set aside to buy land—hopefully 10+ acres within an hour or two of where I live, since I share custody with my ex.

I’m not a homesteader yet, but I want to learn. I’m willing to put in the work and do things the right way. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about freedom, self-sufficiency, and what it means to actually live instead of just getting by.

Mostly, I’m looking to connect with people who are walking the same path—or already further down it. Advice, community, maybe even a friendship or future partnership with someone like-minded.

If you’re nearby or have wisdom to share, I’d really appreciate hearing from you.

Rob
