The Elder Creek Center For The Land is a watershed restoration and transition organization working in California’s northern Sacramento Valley. We aim to expand the use of land care practices in our watershed that could return the creek to its formerly reliable year-round flow. These practices also enhance the health of native plant and animal communities, which are the foundation of a genuinely sustainable human culture in this region. Integral to this work, we are exploring and demonstrating regenerative subsistence skills appropriate for living in place.
Unfortunately, the severe drought is forcing us to have a contingency on both of these positions. We'll make a decision about grazing by March 1 and about the shelter by May 1, but of course we need to put the word out now.
If you have an interest in either of these positions, please use the contact forms on the links above.
