For a wetlands restoration project at Newman Lake (just east of Spokane @ ID border) they are dredging huge quantities of lake bottom (about 133,000 yards). This has been independently analyzed, and is showing over 50% organic matter, sandy loam with a pH about 4.9, and no recorded contaminates.

This will be available this spring/summer. Might be a great opportunity for anybody in the region looking for good topsoil.
