I didn't know what forum to post this but... I found this article to be a bit disturbing since it is practically in my neck of the woods.

They say in the article from the GF newspaper that GMO research is not planned... but given their track record for being truthful... I don't believe them. My wife and I sent an email protest to the Cascade County Commissioners office. Hopefully other people will contact their office and voice their opposition.

"A 30-day protest period will begin when the commissioner’s resolution indicating the intent to rezone the property is published as a legal notice in the newspaper. Only those residents who own property in the county can protest, Briggs said. At the conclusion of the protest period, the Commission will reopen the issue and either grant final approval to the zoning change or reject it, Briggs said."

I hope that this falls through and doesn't happen.
