Missoula has a large DIY community and for some reason that has included mostly recycling objects and clothing that have already been used. Betty's Divine sells some of these items. Cat's Eye Design, a new store downtown, sells exclusively local fashions and accessories. If you are more on the artsy side, I know at least five people who haven't thought of selling in these shops, but could whip you up a corset and screenprinted dress shoes in a flash.

On the same note, there are many talented costume makers in Missoula. It's kind of far away from costume time for most people, but the it's a good thought to keep in mind come Halloween.

Just thought I'd give some kudos to the DIY community for doing their part on so many levels.

I know there is a major barter fair going on this weekend, but you have to pay to vend. Maybe some of us that like to create our own styles could arrange for a mini one. Depending on the interest level, I could even host it. I think we should plan a few weeks in advance to give everyone the opportunity to make some great stuff. Anyone interested?

There's a general lack of corset wear these days.  I highly encourage them
