The
Savanna Institute is a
non-profit organization dedicated to developing restorative, savanna-based agricultural systems through research, education, and outreach.
As the daughter organization of the Restoration Agriculture Institute, Savanna Institute has been tasked with the mission of implementing real world case studies of the savanna-based agriculture system.
We are currently working with farmers across the region to prepare for the first iteration of the Savanna Institute Case Study Program in 2014. The SI Case Study Program explores the potential of savanna-based systems to become ecologically sound, agriculturally productive, and economically viable alternatives to the corn-soybean rotation that currently dominates agriculture in the Midwestern United States.
We are proud to introduce you to our 2014 Case Study Program farmers. These pioneering individuals and families have joined us in the pursuit of a more viable agriculture industry.
