Seeds for Sprouts

This is such a silly question I had to put it here. You can buy seeds for sprouts. For example red clover. Do you think that they are some kind of weird var. they only make good sprouts or can I throw them in my field and fix some nitrogen with a new cheap price for seed?

You can plant 'em just fine. I paid too much for 6oz of Daikon radish seed "for sprouting" at the organic grocery because I couldn't find a better bulk source around here.
