Fish Eggs for cats?

we trade food . We got some of their fresh fish eggs common carp eggs, catfish eggs, trout eggs, salmon eggs

we got about 8 tubs total of the stuff but it's frozen.

what we were gonna do was put each of the tubs on the bandsaw while frozen cut them into cubes (or just put them in smaller portion) and feed that to our cats as "treat" food. for their hard work keeping us mice and rat free.

do you have any idea if they are unable to eat any of those eggs. it's uncured raw eggs. they went almost completely fresh from the fish into the freezer. i know each cat is different. but just wonder if this is ok? also we don't plan on eating it.

if my cats are any indication, i'll bet they would eat it, and if they have reasonable access to other food they won't eat it if it will make them feel bad. my cats, for 30 years, and no premature deaths not caused by some other creature killing them. I have heard that if a cat will eat it it is safe for humans too, and certainly I eat lots of meat that my cats won't touch, makes me think maybe I should reconsider some of what I do eat. btw, I believe that if I really knew that those eggs were frozen fresh that I would eat them, sounds like an incredible delicacy and probably very nutritious.

we defrosted the salmon roe. (which was fish this winter/spring). the salmon roe on this one.. they seem to like. it didnt get frozen straight away but was kept on ice in the ice chest when the fish was caught.

just a spoon full.. they seem to dig it.

check out the story of paddlefish in Oklahoma, they threw those eggs away a couple decades ago and now they sell for big money.

freshwater prawn eggs are really good..like seriously good and if you find the wild ones as well. big in the over seas market


it looks great taste great ive never been into salmon roe tho. nor anything else but the prawns were good
