If on giving Diatomaceous Earth in horse feed, will it come out in sweat, as when you eat too much salt it comes out through your pore in your sweat, will DE do the same?
My daughters horse suffers badly from feather mites, dusting has not helped at all, if this method would work it would kill the mites as they hatch.
Does anyone know if this would happen?
I know nothing about horses, but I do know diatomaceous earth works mechanically to kill pests. As such, it won't work the way you're describing. Maybe someone with horse experience will have an alternative suggestion.
