Hi everyone, I go by Lenora.
I’ve been gardening and tinkering around with permaculture for a little while now, but I feel like I’m at a point where I could really benefit from learning directly from someone who has hands-on experience. I’m hoping to connect with an older gentleman who’s done a lot of practical work building beds, working with livestock, managing water systems, or just the day-to-day of running a homestead. I do not mind long harmless conversations... Just someone whose real and has spare time.

Hello Lenora,
I fit your description except the livestock part. I've had lots of chickens, but that's about it in terms of livestock. I've been an off-grid homesteader for the last 20+ years and have a good deal of experience with all that entails. I share your interest in developing soil over time. Where I live in California the native soil is mostly heavy clay. Over the years I've come to believe mimicking/facilitating nature's processes is the way to go.

I don't have lots of free time right now during the holiday season, but I have some, and would be happy to spend part of it communicating with you if you like.
Tom

Hello Lenora.  I go by Mac.  I'm new here too, and happened to notice your post.  I have extensive homesteading, agricultural and livestock experience.  Plus, I enjoy visiting about those subjects, and often have a fair amount of extra time on my hands this time of year.  If you were interested in chatting, my preference would be to do it more discretely.  Feel free to reach-out via mactheagrarian@gmail.com by email or google chat.

Well Gosh Andi all yousay is interesting and alines with what I am working on obtaining. I have been a cetified organic market farmer in the past. As such would like to have a small plot of organic food for personal consumption. I am seeking a large plot of land with a live creek running through the land to utilize for agriculture, home use and electrical generation. If we could begin communicating to see if things might be compatible for us it would be nice to explore the possibilities. If you are up to this than the beat way to contact me is at: (sourceoffood@gmail.com)  I am a very quiet person no loud music, no alcohol, no recreational drugs etc, I do not smoke. I do not use any colones and such. nor do I use scented washing machine soaps. I hang my close outside to dry even in the winter.  I have two dogs who are in and out of the house a lot of the time. Like most folks I have had a few knocks in life but survived just fine. I would be happy to share more with you should you decide to communicate. Oh yes I do a lot of playing around with wild natural medicinal and scent plants making tinctures and such.
Best of blessings
Gary
