Hello! Newcomer to the community

Hello All! My name is Tess. I just found you this week as I was reading SKIP (the book, of course). I'm getting my feet wet, so I'll likely be reading more than posting, for the moment anyways. I am still reading the book, which is AMAZING!!  I am still learning about permaculture and all the wonderful gifts it gives for about three years now. I have been reading several books, applying as many of the principles in my life as I can, both internally and externally.  As my profile intro says, I love the outdoors, hiking, camping, getting dirty and chasing perma-dreams. I'm excited to read about, learn from and 'meet' many of you!  SO glad to be here! --Tess

Hello All! Thank you for the welcome! Someone I know shared the information with me, knowing I am looking to start getting dirty & messy in permaculture. I want to build on my current experience in living with Nature and broadening my skillsets.  When I did my research I found the books by Paul: SKIP and 'Building a Better World in Your Backyard'. LOVING them both, I might add.  

The books ignited more curiosity and I am here!  I have been studying permaculture since 2022 or 23.  I'd never really knew what it was.  Now I am in love with the principles and methods. I am currently, also, reading Rosemary Morrow's book 'Earth Restorer's Guide to Permaculture', Peter Bane's 'The Permaculture Handbook' among a few others.  I also am taking the free course at freepermaculture.com with Heather Jo Flores.  I try to avoid too much downer news, so I visit that site & now this one, as well as watch a ton of perma videos on anything I can feast my eyes & ears on.

I am looking forward to being a part of this community and learning from all of your wisdom, insight and expertise.  I hope I can share even a small bit back with all of you.  --Tess

I will definitely check out the Rocket Mass Heater forum!  I have so many I want to dive into. I'm looking forward to all the amazing things I'll be learning about.
