Hi everyone (first post!),
I'm working on starting an intentional community and cooperative that owns, lives in, works on, and builds a retired school in Clintonville, WI into something never seen before! (although I could use a different location, this one is choice). The Envelope is also intended to be a beyond-net-zero building, not only producing all of its energy onsite (no bills!) but exceeding production for sale to the grid, storage, or giant raves to run down the batteries until we have room to store more energy.

I want this to be a live/work/play/dream space, where anything is possible.  We plan on providing business incubation, coworking, makerspace, classes, agriculture (hoop houses/aquaponics), a retail/consignment bazaar, and an immersive art museum a la MEOW WOLF or City Museum.  We'll live there and build the art museum and start our enterprises, while streaming it for people online to watch, learn, and even contribute to their favorite artists.

I'm looking for people who are interested in living/working there foremost, but also being on the coop's steering committee, visiting, poking holes in my plans and other productive things.

What are your thoughts?
-Jack "Fitz"

Certainly a good idea

Organic food and aquaponic driven fish would be good for any local market.

Selling energy back to the grid is a good start. Good to explore other option, like maybe an electric power station that people pay to recharge their electric vehicles.

Pottery and ceramics if you have clay.

Definitely interested in exploring this idea

I’ll DM you

Seems really neat. So have you bought the property outright as of yet? Or is that what you mean by seeking founders? I know someone who would be very interested with sweat equity and knowledge to lend.
