Hey all,
My peace lily has been doing great for about two years but lately the lower leaves keep turning yellow and going soft. At first I figured it was just old leaves dying off but now it's happening to five or six of them and I'm getting concerned.
It sits in bright indirect light, I water about once a week when the soil feels dry, and it's still in the original nursery pot with drainage. Haven't repotted or fertilized in over a year.
I found this
article that's been really helpful for understanding the basics. Sounds like it could be overwatering, light issues, or a nutrient deficiency. I've been letting the soil dry out more between waterings but no luck so far. The newer growth still looks healthy though, it's just the older bottom leaves going yellow.
Would love to get some more input from people who've dealt with this. Should I be looking at repotting, fertilizing, or something else entirely? Trying not to change too many things at once but I'm not sure what to prioritize. Any advice is appreciated!
