Howdy folks,
Monday’s here and so am I.  It was a sunny and bright day here at Wheaton Labs.  I’m exhausted and feel fully satisfied.  The day started with some feline love before the morning meeting.  I love how we are greeted every morning by these little lovers.  Morning meeting ran a longer than usual but we covered some great stuff including a lesson on proper junk pole construction.  Repairs have been identified and education was helpful going forward.  Daily tasks were distributed and each team went there ways.  I began my day setting out trickle jugs at the lemon tree site (which was my first time seeing this site).  Second task for the morning was watering and junk pole fence construction. Jesse and I spent our time watering the berm and trees while Esteban tended to the fence and gate construction.  The afternoon session entailed more watering but this time at base camp.  I got a try at peeling logs and learned how to use the draw knife.  I think I love this task.  The scent of the wood and the undressing of the tree had me fully intoxicated before dinner.  I had the privilege to spend an hour walking the garden with the lovey Samantha. She educated me on numerous edible and non edible items in the garden.  Foraging for all our dinner ingredients was hugely satisfying.  She graciously showed me how to prepare this meal and the result was a very tasting incredible  nutritious dinner. WHAT A DELIGHT! Again feeling so very grateful.
