Homesteading - what does it cost to start?

I have been asked by quite a few people how much did it cost me to start our farm? It is a good question - and I guess what they really want to know is if it is possible for them to start a farm or a homestead. The next question I have been asked is 'What will it cost me?".

Thats a hard question to answer as so many things come into play. So I wrote a summary of all the major things that you should consider....and I probably missed some importnat ones along the way.
