I grow mushrooms at home, and my system used to be sticky notes, a half-finished spreadsheet, and a shelf of bags I couldn't remember opening. So I built an app to fix it, and I'm looking for growers to try it before it opens up.
It tracks each grow from start to finish: lineage (what came from what), recipes with a batch scaler, stock, QR labels for your containers, photos, harvests, and a Data tab so you can see what's working. There's also a Sources section for the suppliers you buy from, with notes on what you get from each.
The beta opens Oct 26 for 50 growers. It runs about 90 days and it's free through the end of it. Expect bugs. I'll ask for three short check-ins along the way. Nothing is for sale right now, and it may become a paid product down the road, but not during the beta.
The picture is a lineage tree from one of my grows.
If you want in, the application is at sporedesk.com/beta, and sporedesk.com/features shows everything it does.
What's the one thing about keeping track of your grows that drives you nuts?
