Regenerative Landscape Design (RLD) is at the forefront of a movement to restore health and vigor to our food producing ecosystems. This holistic approach is modeled on the success and productivity of natural systems and provides real solutions to some of the problems associated with large scale food production and land management. It's a rewarding and exciting field to work in with great prospects for future development. Would you like to participate in the regeneration of landscapes?

Course fee 150 Euro
Accommodation and food: from 120 Euro (see below)

.
Maximum Participants: 20

The Course Concept
We will be using a real site to introduce the fundamentals of RLD to you within an organised and structured framework. This is not a sit and listen style course, you will be actively engaged in the practical application of what you are learning. You will undertake observations, mapping, surveying techniques, earthworks and planting, all balanced with essential theory and exercises to empower you when designing and implementing your own projects.

Why take this course?

You will experience first hand a step by step process for designing your site, starting from mapping and finishing in planting. Along the way you will be introduced to a variety of techniques and strategies and cover the essential theory behind regenerative design.
Extensive, tailor made post-course resources will be provided for you to study at depth in your own time, supplied to you on a flash disk. During the course we will refer you to your post-course resources for further reading. The resource files are organised in accordance to the course structure for ease of use and comprehension.
Post-course online support:- We aim to stay in touch with our students after the course is finished in order to help develop your plans and we encourage students to stay in touch with each other providing forums to enable this to happen.
Our unique location is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and recharge in the tranquility of rural Bulgaria. Its a slow paced relaxed environment, and although the course is very active the atmosphere cannot help but be absorbed.
All profits from this course will be used for the purchasing of land with high ecological value currently under threat from intensive agricultural development. The land, once under our stewardship, is managed with respect for its inherent value and vital ecosystem services. Your payment, as well as being a sound investment for your development, will be contributing to the protection and management of these important habitats.

We look forward to hearing from you,

Balkep Team
