Definitely check out Echo right there in Fort Myers for plants that grow well down here (echonet dot org). They have some free workshops coming up June 14th. I also highly recommend joining the the local and regional permaculture groups (meetup dot com). I recently had the pleasure of spending some time with some of the Naples group. Friendly, well informed and very knowledgeable people!

Well, I am back in Florida. Working on getting some land at the moment making connections in the area.
