Social Development Network is a recent website and organization created with the intention of contributing to social change and increasing the availability of informational resources related to creating a better global society. One of the resources that is featured on the website is The Venus Project which proposes the ultimate intentional society, a Resource Based Economy.

I'm hoping that people who are interested in the properties sought after by premacultural design will also be interested in a feasible plan of action to create a long term emergent society that focuses on providing all individuals in a system with the highest quality of life that can be acquired through the resources that the environment has to offer.

This video gives a good description of a Resource Based Economy.

The reason I think that these things are so important is because of what the future is likely to bring if we do not work together as a species to create a better world.
This recent NASA-funded study predicts the impending collapse of industrial society within the coming decades: An Article About the Study

The set up of our society is holding us back! If we work together as a species to create a world where every individual has the highest quality of life possible, we can create a whole new world where hopefully war and unnecessary human suffering will be seen as not only avoidable but unacceptable.

I hope I've introduced some people to some things they might be interested in!
