Rancho Sol y Mar, a working off-grid ranch and Sustainability Education Center, located just off one of the most pristine, beautiful beaches in Mexico, is currently accepting participants for its Experiential Education Program (EEP!).
About EEP!: Participants receive accommodations, 3 vegetarian/flexitarian meals a day, and daily workshops. Workshops may include natural homeopathic remedies, building with natural, local materials, cheese making and dairy production, solar energy systems, aquaponics, Mexican customs and spiritual traditions, homesteading practices, and permaculture. Participants share in daily ranch activities that include chicken feeding and egg collection, goat care, gardening, compost upkeep, and harvesting. One day a week is committed to community outreach in our small, beach town. Afternoons are free for swimming in the ocean, hiking, reading, or relaxing. Saturday nights are typically dedicated to a pizza party using our wood fired Cob oven, campfires or movie screenings. Sundays are open for solo time, or to join in organized outings. Cost: $150 USD per person per week. This financial contribution to the Ranch enables us to provide all of the above plus ranch maintenance, and aids in creating employment for the local community. One week minimum is requested.

Fantastic People! - The ranch community is a fun & welcoming environment filled with people dedicated to making a difference! The residents of the local village are extremely friendly and welcoming!
Terrific Program! - Our program provides lot's of daily, hands-on learning! Program Director Erick Meza has years of experiencing imparting the joy of gardening, permaculture and general homesteading skills. Rancho Owners Dan & Holly will also be on hand to share their knowledge of natural building and animal husbandry. Retreat Director Stephanie Bratnick rounds out the program with morning yoga classes!

Safe & Fun! - Rancho Sol y Mar is located in Jalisco State on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Our region is known for its warm, welcoming "vibe" and has not experienced the drug crime or violence often reported in other parts of the country.
