Hi Robert what is your opinion on Root health in a Aquaponic system. These systems look really neat and claim to be the future of food production. My concern is that we are creating an environment that isn't natural to the plant roots (water vs. soil) and that something must be sacrificed. The roots often grow long in when cultured like this and are usually Pruned to take care of this over crowding in the system.

I would love to hear your take on this whole thing.

That is my experience as well... Thinking about setting something up in the basement just so I can keep things going in the winter. There is a whole science behind the aquaponics thing that kinda just scares me a bit.
