San Diego - looking for permaculture farms to visit

I'm from Australia and traveling to San Diego next week and am interested in visiting any permaculture farms/plots open to the public or community gardens employing sustainable techniques. Any locals out there who can recommend a good way to spend an afternoon? Many thanks in advance.
