A one year exploration of Practical Sustainability based around the Permaculture Design Curriculum.
Modules on
Permaculture Design, Organic Horticulture, Woodland Management, Soil and Ecology, Green Building, Community Engagement, Green
Energy, Group Dynamics and Creating Change.
The course includes constructing a timber frame/straw bale building, 6 field trips to pioneering
permaculture communities and farms, 5 real site design projects, engagement with
local projects and organisations and access to our extensive library.
Taught by some of the most experienced and knowledgeable tutors
led by Sarah Pugh. Learning takes place in a holistic, participatory and practical environment with a mix of classroom and outdoor activities. Based in Bristol;
Permaculture hotbed, European Green Capital 2015 and generally cool
city. Our students are from across the UK, Europe and the US with an age range of 18 to 73 so far.
