I've looked through the past few pages of threads on this forum and didn't see anything on these topics. Sorry if this has been discussed before and I missed it.
After subscribing to a thread, I only get one email after the first reply, and none later on unless I check the thread again after that one post. So I either have to do some guesswork on when there's a decent amount of additional posts to warrant looking it up again, or checking them all the time. And for the latter option, as great as the folks here are, not every single reply possibly interests me so much to take such frequent trips. Also, the watched threads list doesn't seem to change in any noticeable manner after a thread has been posted on, so there isn't any way to tell if comments have been added from there either. Could we please have some color differences there? Or with the email, perhaps one could be sent after every post, and if that's too much; the option for weekly subscription updates?
And can I ask why the frequent requirement for signing in? It seems that if you aren't active for 30 minutes, you are automatically logged out. This is a problem, at least to me, as I multitask a lot online, and often focus on one site at a time for a bit before coming back and finding myself unable to thumbs up a post or watch a topic here. Thank goodness this problem doesn't come up in the middle of typing a long post. Is there any chance the login time could be extended?
