Hello Darren,
Thank you for all the work you do, and I can't wait for the rest of the book to come out! I would like to see if you could offer some advice on the best technique used to passively divert water from a creek to a dam using a diversion channel with 1% slope. I have a creek running through a primary valley which gets its water from the overflow of a large pond (small lake? outside my property), and I am considering harnessing this resource. Nevertheless, I am unsure what the best method would be to connect the channel to the creek where water can be passively diverted. What factors would you say should be taken into consideration before making such a decision? Looking forward to your thoughts.
