My peanuts don't even have a chance to germinate. They're already being eaten. I think its a bird, but I'm not sure can anyone help me with this? Are they any preventative measures I can take?

Bird netting over the area? Set a few cinder blocks, or whatever, on the ground to hold the netting up so the birds can't just peck through it. Or mulch it with straw, or just about anything to kind of hide the area.

Or just germinate the seeds in doors then transplant. I'm assuming peanuts can handle transplanting but not sure, I know most legumes don't fare well with it.

I'm still not sure what's eating them, but I covered them up and now the nibbling has stopped.
