Is there a better place to buy seeds, seedlings, trees etc., than Armstrong in Orange County CA?

Hi there, I'm new to this area (as well as permaculture) and I wanted to know if anyone knows of a permaculture friendly nursery in Orange County, or even LA or San Diego.. Armstrong near my house has an organic section, but no one there knew what comfrey was for example, and I'm wondering if there is an obvious place I am missing to find perennial goodness to add to my garden. Thanks!

Grow native, in claremont, but only open to the public one day a month until fall.
Flowerdale, santa Ana

There is also an orange county, native plant society. Which may be some help.
