One thing that I have learned when it comes to being frugal is to make as much as you can yourself. I do not buy too many things prepackaged. I make my own cookies, bread, biscuits, pizza sauce, salsa, pasta, corn chips, coffee creamer, butter. It is amazing what you can do with just a few ingredients. I even make my own root beer and ginger ale. I save alot of money at the grocery store.

Here is a good recipe for ginger ale.webpage

Hi Cheyenne,

Can you share your root beer recipe? I ran into trouble when I tried following a recipe from the internet and have been looking for an experienced RB brewer ever since

I too make a lot of my own - but for health benefits more than the savings, in some cases you get both!
