I would like to find a good used spinning wheel and learn to spin wool or alpaca into yarn for fiber arts and chrochett.  Does anyone have any sources for these items?  (wool and spinning wheels?)  if so,  please reply.

There is actually a lady down at the river market who sells apples, wool, and spinning lessons! She was talking about an indigo dying class as well. Can't remember the name of her company, but I will look around for the flyer.

You might want to pop in to Joseph's Coat, on S. Higgins just across from the river. It's family run and the woman who owns it is incredibly helpful.

Thanks!  I have actually found a couple of resourses since this post also.  One is Judith Colvin of Bitterroot Fiber Arts Studio out of St. ignatius. She was at the Caris Market Sunday.  She sells new spinning wheels and gives classes, does felting and grows her own wool.

The other one I can't find right now.

Also, Willows and Wool in Corvalis, MT has spinning wheel classes 3 times a year.  The next class, which is full, is 10/23/10, then another 12/11/10 and the last is 1/15/11.
