Permaculture in Paradise with ponds, fruit trees and lovely buildings. 2 off-grid Acres in Hawaiian Paradise Park on the Big Island of Hawaii 1 mile from the ocean, 20 miles from Hilo, and close to the wonders of Puna. $300,000.

BUILDINGS: Main house (24 x 44) with breezeway and adjoining shower, lav. sink and flush toilet. (Composting toilet just a few steps outside house.) Our lanai (porch) overlooks the 30 foot diameter tilapia pond. Power shed, pantry and storage (6 x 20). Office and art room (16 x 20). Carport and work area (16 x 24). Cottage (16 x 20) with its own composting toilet. 8000 gallon ferrocement catchment tank. Main house is permitted, other structures are not.

FRUIT and NUTS: Over 20 named varieties of producing 10 year old fruit trees. Many dwarf coconuts, a macadamia nut and a cashew. Many bananas (dwarf varieties), many pineapples, several papayas. Citrus: orange, pommelo (similar to grapefruit), tangerine, lemon and lime. Tropicals: longan, lychee, rambutan, eggfruit, mango, abiu, starfruit, tamarind, breadfruit, mountain apple, jaboticaba, moringa, and peach palms. 4 named varieties of avocado. Not producing yet: mangosteen and marang.
Shrubs, vines, small plants with edible fruit or tubers include: mulberry, cacao, coffee, noni, tea, surinam cherry, chaya, cassava, passionfruit, ginger, turmeric, pigeon pea, curry leaf tree, edible hibiscus, taro, miracle fruit and awa. Varietal names upon request.

TWO chicken coops in the fenced orchard for free range chickens.

BAMBOO: All are clumping bamboos, most are timber bamboo or craft bamboo and include Bambusa types (textilis and pervariabilis), Dendrocalamus types (atter, latiflorus, asper thai 96, and asper indonesian bambu betang) Ornamental types: Bambusa vulgaris Wamin (by the main pond) and Drepanostachium khasanium.

Other trees include Mexican cypress and Spanish cedar as well as an abundance of ornamentals: jacaranda, rainbow shower, Hong Kong orchid, white paklan, gardenia, jasmine, golden dewdrop and yesterday, today and tomorrow to name just a few.
