hi this is my first post.
My wife and I have started a more sustainable lifestyle over the past few years. We have a green house and chickens. We have several fruit trees and grape vines on our urban homestead. It all started with our first aquaponic garden.
Now, this video shows step by step how I built mine, and a walk-through of how it operates.
This system has since been retired, and we use a much larger system now utilizing a 12x12 garden pond with several catfish.
But we all start somewhere. And This video shows how I made mine, and I hope it will inspire you.

Nicely done! I like your idea of using doweling and piping to make a mini hoop house over the planter. Was it just plain pea gravel you used for a growing medium?
Also what were you using as the fertilizer so to speak was it an algae or did you have fish in that pond?
