Join the Austin and Central Texas Backyard Poultry Meetup on 1/9/2016 at 10 a.m. at Callahan's General Store (501 Bastrop Hwy, Austin, TX) for your chicken questions and to meet fellow feathered friend supporters. Bring a finger food to share with the peeps. You can RSVP through the meetup here...or just come by!

About this Meetup group

The Austin and Central Texas Backyard Poultry Meetup Group is for people who have or are interested in raising small backyard flocks of chickens, ducks, guineas, turkeys, geese, quail, or other poultry for pets, eggs, meat, or exhibition. Our in-person meetups are headquartered in the Austin, Texas, area, with some Meetups in the surrounding Central Texas area. We welcome anyone interested in raising poultry to participate in our online forums, even if you can't always come to an in-person Meetup.

This meetup is organized under Urban Poultry Association of Texas, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. UPAT's mission to educate people on the benefits of raising poultry as part of a sustainable food production system. UPAT is the parent organization for the Funky Chicken Coop Tour® (FCCT), an annual self-guided tour held each spring on Easter weekend in Austin, Texas. FCCT encourages people to raise chickens and other poultry at home. UPAT is also the parent organization for The Austin and Central Texas Backyard Poultry Meetup.
