Growing Food With and For Chickens A Free Pre-Tour Educational Event Featuring Nationally Recognized Chicken Expert Patricia Foreman
The 8th Annual Funky Chicken Coop Tour: Chickens as Zero Waste Heroes is just around the corner! In the lead-up to the Tour, special guests Patricia Foreman and a special feathered co-presenter will pay a rare visit to Austin with a free presentation all about how to transform food deserts into growing food paradises by employing chickens—and their skill sets—to produce much of your own vegetables, fruit, eggs and meat. This not only saves on grocery bills, but you are assured that your food is grown in living, clean soils. Reduce the use of fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides by harnessing poultry power. Developing your chicken have-more plan is the most practical way to enable local foods, while at the same time produce food with superior nutritional value to keep you, your family and your community food-rich and healthy. This is the first time Pat has had a chance to present in Austin and it is not to be missed!
