POSITION: Natural Building Intern
ORGANIZATION: Community Rebuilds
Community Rebuilds (CR) is a nonprofit organization based in Moab, UT. We are dedicated to building
energy efficient, affordable homes for low-income families, while providing education on natural and
sustainable building practices and hands-on building
experience to our interns. Unlike other natural building internships, CR is free of cost. Interns are provided with housing, a monthly food stipend, and bulk food items in exchange for their labor. To read more about the mission and history of Community Rebuilds, click here:

We are currently recruiting interns for our first ever 3-story
straw bale duplex. The build will take place in Mount Crested Butte, CO, over the
course of two semesters. Our summer semester will go from May 9th – August 5th, and will focus on foundation and exterior framing. Our fall semester will go from August 5th – November 4th, and will focus on interior framing and finish work. We will be hiring 14 interns for each semester, and we encourage students to apply for both semesters. Like all other CR projects, our interns will be living and working closely with their peers, so an ideal candidate will have experience or interest in communal living. To find out more about this
project and other internship opportunities with CR, click here:
