Hello fellow Permies! I am trying to figure out the vast world of Hugelkultur and I am having trouble finding info on the proper seeding/planting technique. I imagine there is more to it than just randomly throwing seeds in the bed. I know that some plants require more sun while others need more shade but is there a resource out there that is specific on where to put what? I live in the Seattle area if that helps any. Thanks!

Unless you are building giant huglekultur mounds with trees or rows of corn on top, there's going to be little to no difference in amount of sunlight no matter where you plant on the mound.

As for seeding, it works just like any garden bed. Follow the same rules for gardening in general.
