The Heated Tipi - $75 per night, two-night minimum, discounts increase with length of stay.
Forget freezing your butt off in a tent - this tipi is unlike any you've ever seen. Heated by a
rocket mass heater, the cleanest and most
sustainable heat source, you'll be comfy and cozy while you unwind. The highly efficient
rocket mass heater's exhaust pipe winds through a long, arching
cob bench that serves as the bed. That's right, you literally have a heated bed inside of a tipi with this one. Typical tipis with a fire ring come with smoke, but not with a
rocket mass heater. Breathe easy and
experience human-friendly and Earth-friendly living - even the
mattress on the cob bed is organic. It's cozy, it's romantic, and it's in the heart of place that is practicing
permaculture all over the wild woods of the property. The cob bench can comfortably sleep two, and the interior is a lot more spacious than you would think. Though there are
wells located on the property, there is currently no
water available at this site - bring containers to fill up upon your arrival.
Cooper Cabin - $140 per night, two-night minimum, discounts increase with length of stay.
Cooper Cabin, an 800 sq. ft. eco-building is our largest Wofati and is still under exterior construction, though the structure is still warm, comfortable, and functional. A Wofati is more than an earth-sheltered log cabin - it's brighter and requires no conventional
energy sources to heat and cool, due to its sustainable passive
solar design. A Wofati is a woodland, Oehler-style, freaky-cheap, annualized thermal inertia eco-building.
All of the materials were sourced locally from our property, right down to milling the lumber. It's cool in the summer, and well-insulated to retain heat from the rocket-mass-heater that's installed inside. The large living area and cob bench can accommodate a group of up to 12, so it's great for big gatherings, and the adjacent bedroom has a comfy queen bed with a spectacular view of the surrounding forest. The extra-large solar-powered system powers all electric needs, and the kitchen has a propane 4-burner stove/oven.
The Love Shack - $50 per night, two-night minimum, discounts increase with length of stay.
Our rustic cabin for two with a mountain view awaits your retreat from the
city. Relish the sounds of nature in your private abode and still charge your devices with
solar power. Don't let it's compact size fool you though - this little gem sleeps three, with one queen and one twin bunk, and a little desk area to
boot. The space is small and stays relatively warm, even on chilly Montana nights, though there is a clay pot heater in the room you can fire up. Tasty well water is nearby, compost-heated showers available in summer and several rocket stoves for cooking are in the vicinity
The Red Cabin - $95 per night, two-night minimum, discounts increase with length of stay.
The Red Cabin is a small structure that sleeps three, and of the accommodations on the property, is closest to tasty well water, parking, showers and restrooms. It has electricity, WiFi and a rocket mass stove to keep you toasty at night.
Tent Camping - $25 per night, two-night minimum, discounts increase with length of stay.
Pitch your tent in a forest with a mountain view, with access to tasty well water, WiFi and electricity down the hill. There are several sites with privacy and all sites are along hiking trails.
Wildlife abounds on this property - keep your eyes peeled for songbirds, black bears, mule
deer, elk, and so much more. That being said, take the proper bear precautions with your food when staying in this area - they've been quite polite in the past, but they might not be so shy when confronted with the smells of your sandwiches.
