Hi everyone we are a start-up off-grid Mountain Permaculture Farmstead located on 40 acres at aprox 1500 ft in the tree line, 18 miles outside of Redding, CA. We are in search of some live in farm helpers and or teacher/nanny positions that include room, 2 meals a day and a share of surplus crops and livestock with flexible free time to attend school or hold a job off site. We have 2 Adults, 2 children ages 4 and 5, 4 dogs, 7 adult goats, 8 goat kids and 20 something Icelandic chickens. We have a small annual garden this year and an ever expanding perennial herb garden and a permaculture layout in mind for our seasonal washes on our gentle south facing slope. Hoping to grow into a farm co-op, CSA and maybe someday a ecovillage. There is lots of rich off-grid land around here too if you want to come live in the area before you find property or we might buy up some more land also to grow our place so more people can stay. We plan on adding pigs by the end of 2017 and pastured goat milk, meat and eggs with primarily perennial forage is our goal for next years farm sales, we have a backhoe and are looking to do earthworks this year and next, there will be livestock sales of goats, dogs and maybe chickens, planning for a big fall garden and to put in more perennials for next year... So much to do would love to share, learn and live together here at the Wild Circle Farmstead.
