Mother/Son seeking work/trade in NY or VT (or northeast)

Have some experience with farming and animals, but would need some direction at first. Very motivated to learn! My son is 6 and very sweet and well-mannered and willing to help with small tasks. We're hoping to move to VT or NY state and would love to find a place to stay for part of the summer while we sort out where we are going to land. It would be ideal if other kids are around. I'm a teacher by profession. Thank you!!!
