Hello everyone,

I'm just beginning to transform my lawn into a perennial food forest and this forum has been so helpful to this fledgling permie!

In my research & planning I've read wonderful things about comfrey, but I can't find it in nearby garden centres and I haven't found an online seller that ships root cuttings to Canada. Are there any Canadians here who would kindly share a piece of comfrey root with me? I'd be happy to pay for any shipping costs and maybe a little extra for your trouble.

Also, a huge thanks to all those who post and comment on this site, it's an amazing wealth of information that has helped me a lot.

Cheers,

A.

Richters Herbs is in Toronto.  They sell seeds (true comfrey), as well as cuttings of Bocking 4 & 14.

I got my cuttings of bocking 4&14  from Mike & Joyce Higgs at Portage Perennials. Contact them they can probably ship some to you right now at portageperennials@gmail.com  Also http://www.whiffletreefarmandnursery.ca carries bocking 4 but will probably ship in fall or spring.

I have bocking 4 and bocking 14 roots and I am located at Mississauga Ontario. It's not the best time of the year to ship root cuttings but it will work if the roots are big. I sent 10 roots of bocking 4 to someone just 2 weeks ago and there is no problem at all. PM me if you are interested.

You'll find me in my office. I'll probably be drinking. And reading this tiny ad.
