Permaculture Community Autumn Open House - East Cascades

In short: An opportunity to check out what Windward Community is up to.



Particularly, we'll be doing some work to establish *unirrigated* contour hedgerows as part of a largescale silvopasture system.

Press fresh apple cider (and learn about making hard cider)

Milk a goat and make goat cheese

Scratch a piglets belly

Mix and apply cob for the barrel oven

Tour and Explore Windward's village-stead, forest gardens, infrastructure and more

Walk through the living sanctuary of Herland Forest, natural burial cemetery, www.herlandforest.org.

All while picking the brains about the successes and failures of this 30 year old landbased community!
