There is a student-philosopher-agriculturist of Masanobu fukuoka that lives in Greece town of edessa.
He is a great inspiration like fukuoka. He has a jungle farm that produces tons of fruit. It is visitable.
His name is Panos Manikis. He travels more than 10 years over the world to regreen the deserts with clayballs.
