Songs to Honor Water, looking for Harmony Singers

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hello Everyone,
I am a singer and folk musician, moving back to the Santa Fe area, and I am looking for 2 harmony singers....my ideas center around Songs to Honor Water, combining folk music with the original ancient traditions and songs that honor water from the original First Nations people of the land.

I am interested in finding 2 like-minded people, who are passionate about creating beautiful music, and who would love to collaborate on creating an experience that opens up a door of longing for people to remember who they once were long ago, for them to remember their indigenous roots.

I would love to put together House Concerts, and ultimately a series of folk music festivals, held in a sacred container with a sacred fire, held by the elders or fire keepers of the original tribe of the land that the festival is on.  I would love to connect with First Nations people, and learn from them the songs that Honor Water, and have them share these songs, with the respect and gentleness that water deserves, in a setting that allows these songs to reach the hearts of people in the audience.  I would love to be a bridge between our current cultural ways, and the ancient ways of being in right relationship with the living world and each other.

I envision a family friendly, community-building type of festival, with the goal being to bring the awareness and respect for Water herself and the living beings.  I envision a talent contest, with the theme being Honoring Water.  I am posting here, because I believe that I might have better luck finding people who love the land and water like I do, and who know that we need to do all we can, for the next 7 generations.  I am looking for 2 harmony singers, and a small core group of people to build a team that will start the process, to bring this beautiful idea into fruition.  Now is the time, there is no time to wait.

I am not a fanatic, but just very passionate about doing all that I can to serve our living world, our people, the future generations....I do believe that miraculous things are on our horizon.  If any of this resonates with you, please contact me and we can talk further!!!

I am relocating as soon as I find the right folks...the area near Santa Fe is calling me, but I am open to an unexpected direction.  Thank you so much for reading my post here!
All the best,
Laura
