Try this, I have used this for many, many years with my dogs, it doesn't hurt them, and it keeps bugs away also. In your dogs water bowl, mix two table spoons of white vinegar to three parts water. Misquitos, biting flies, and bees do not like the smell that my dogs have so they don't bite the, when they are out side. Also the brown spots have disappeared from my lawn due to the white vinegar! I use it myself and I do not buy those expensive !Off! or DEET products, a gallon of white vinegar verses !Off! is alot cheaper! For humans use white vinegar about a table spoon to two table spoons in water daily and you will notice the biting bugs just don't come near you! Try it and you'll see! You can email me if it works or for more tips that you might need for a natural lawn and garden. Lamment at aol dot com
